The journey through Menai High is well charted and provides great opportunities for the achievement of excellence in a stimulating and challenging learning environment, In years 7 and 8 enrichment classes are established across all curriculum areas: two for high achievers and one for students needing intensive support. All other classes are mixed ability, but all groups experience the same broad and varied curriculum. A great deal of support is provided to students during these important years. In years 9 and 10 students are able to choose three electives to study in conjunction with the core curriculum. It is during this period that they can begin to access our extensive careers support, through school-to-work programs, the Job Club, work experience, our on-line careers intranet directory and our links with the local business enterprise network. In the senior school our students are provided with more flexible learning opportunities to engage with their new range of subjects. A system of seminars is made available one day a week for students to select areas where they wish to pursue extra assistance or study. Many students are also required to attend classes outside normal school hours.
