A highly experienced and committed team of professional staff monitors the well-being of the students in our care. The two Year Advisers that are appointed for each cohort work closely with a Welfare Head Teacher, School Counsellor, School Chaplain, the Deputy Principal Welfare and Principal to provide support and guidance to students and an open line of communication with parents. A large team of learning support staff works constantly with students with special needs. Specialist teachers offer assistance in enrichment and acceleration, ESL, remediation and learning difficulties. A number of teacher's aides provide support for disabled students or those requiring intergration. Professionally trained senior student groups also assist in the specific areas of peer tutoring and reading, and peer mediation of conflict. Respect and responsibility are the key concepts that underpin our school discipline code reflecting the DET Code of Conduct and Core Values. Our multi-level discipline system provides rewards and checks to ensure that students maintain a high standard of mutual respect and personal responsibility.
